Looking ahead to a possible election scenario, the poll conducted by GAD3 for La Región in February 2026 in the municipality of Ourense places Democracia Ourensana as the leading party, with between 9 and 10 councillors and an estimated 32.5% of the vote. It would be followed by the Partido Popular, which would win 7 councillors and 24.2% of the vote. Meanwhile, the BNG would win between 5 and 6 councillors, with 19.7% of the vote, whilst the Partido de los Socialistas de Galicia would win 5 councillors and 17.3% of the vote.

Regional election forecast for the municipality of Ourense
As for the regional forecast for the municipality of Ourense, the Partido Popular is set to emerge as the leading party with 40.1% of the vote, followed by the BNG, which is expected to secure 29.6%. Democracia Ourensana would obtain 13.6%, whilst the Partido de los Socialistas de Galicia would receive 10.4% of the vote.
