Spain´s youth consider climate change to be the most serious environmental problem and have become more inclined to environmental activism in recent years. These are the conclusions of the study Ecological culture in Spain: priorities, costs, attitudes and the role of schools”, published by the Endesa Foundation in collaboration with the European Foundation Society and Education, which focuses on young people and the relationship between their school experience and their opinions and behaviour in relation to the environment.
Among the main results, which emerge from the survey conducted by GAD3 in October, are that more than half of young people believe that environmental content is not sufficient or that school should be more important in raising our ecological culture, which is in the medium-low range. In addition, the study points out that citizens in general find it difficult to bear the costs of environmental protection.

Sample size: 1,218 interviews: 1,015 online interviews and 203 telephone interviews to mobile phones.
Sampling error: ± 2.9% (n=1,218) for a confidence level of 95.5% (two sigmas) and under the worst-case scenario of P=Q=0.5 in the simple random sampling assumption.
Interview duration: approximately 10-12 minutes,
