ENGIE has presented its 5th Sustainability Report at the Citizen Observatory
On 8 April 2026, the Círculo de Empresarios hosted the presentation of the ‘5th Sustainability Report’, a study published by ENGIE and produced by GAD3. During the event, Narciso Michavila, president of GAD3, outlined the report’s main findings and conclusions.
This study forms part of ENGIE’s Observatory “Citizens Facing Climate Risk”, launched in 2021 to reflect the company’s commitment to climate action, with the aim of promoting projects and initiatives to disseminate information, raise awareness and drive the energy transition.
The event opened with an institutional address by the president of the Círculo de Empresarios, Juan María Nin Génova, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the Círculo’s role as a leading venue for hosting this type of initiative.

Speech by Loreto Ordóñez, Country Manager at ENGIE.
Loreto Ordóñez, ENGIE’s Country Manager in Spain, also took part in the event to explain the significance and purpose of the Observatory. During her speech, she emphasised the need to promote initiatives of this kind as tools for analysing the progress of sustainability and the energy transition in our country.
She also highlighted the up-to-date and evolving nature of the report, noting how, since its first edition in 2021, the Observatory has enabled continuous monitoring of perceptions, progress and challenges regarding climate action. In this regard, she emphasised the importance of continuing to generate rigorous knowledge that helps guide decision-making and foster greater social and corporate awareness of these challenges.

Presentation of findings by Narciso Michavila
Narciso Michavila presented the report’s findings, focusing on the key conclusions regarding public concern about climate change and its effects. During his presentation, he analysed how this concern is unevenly distributed across the different autonomous communities, as well as the impacts that society perceives as most significant and worrying.
Furthermore, he explored how these perceptions have evolved over time, providing a comparative overview that offers a better understanding of how social attitudes have changed since the study’s first editions. In this regard, the report not only compiles data but also offers a comprehensive view of the social reality in Spain, giving a voice to the public regarding an issue that is increasingly present in their daily lives.
In this way, Narciso helped to contextualise the results within the current social landscape, emphasising the importance of continuing to analyse and understand these trends in order to drive effective responses that are aligned with the real concerns of the population.
