- The report carried out by GAD3 for the Prado Museum on the profile of visitors to the Museum in 2021 provides the following relevant data:
Anincrease of 32% in 2021 compared to the previous year has been observed. In 2020, 852,161 visits were received, of which more than 556,000 were made before the 11 March deadline. In the case of the reopening of the museum in June 2020, the increase from this month to December on a comparative basis has been 195%.
In the case of the total number of visitors and foreign public, it was 26%, which is a lower percentage than in previous years, due to the pandemic. Among the main origins, the United States (16%), France (20%), Italy (9%) and the United Kingdom (6%) stand out. The presence of Asian visitors, however, is virtually non-existent.
