ENGIE Observatory and GAD3 present the fifth edition of the Sustainability Report
On 24 November, the headquarters of Kreab Spain hosted the fifth edition of the Sustainability Report published by Engie, with the technical support of GAD3. The report analyses the evolution of public perceptions of climate change since 2021. The event, held in a professional and participatory setting, brought together experts, journalists and representatives from the energy sector to examine how Spanish society perceives the effects of climate change and which solutions it considers a priority.

Reception and welcome
The morning began with a networking session over a welcome coffee provided by Fika Café Kreab, during which speakers were briefed and a relaxed atmosphere was created among attendees. At 10:00 a.m., Cecilia Díaz, Senior Director of Financial Communications at Kreab Spain, opened the event and outlined its purpose: to understand how public concern about climate-related phenomena is evolving and what role companies play in a responsible energy transition. Following her remarks, a presentation video introducing the ENGIE Observatory was shown.
Subsequently, Daniel Fernández, representing ENGIE, presented the Observatory and explained its role as a platform for analysing trends, public sensitivities and social priorities in the field of sustainability. He then handed over to GAD3 for the presentation of the study.

Extreme natural phenomena and climate change
During his presentation, Michavila also highlighted how recent extreme events, such as the DANA weather system or the power outage, have influenced public perception. He explained that many Spaniards believe these episodes are linked to climate change and have raised awareness of the need for better-prepared infrastructure and clearer communication in emergency situations.

Conclusion and open discussion
The event concluded with an open dialogue between the two speakers, addressing some of the issues that generate the greatest public interest: what concrete actions society can take to mitigate climate change, how sustainable mobility is likely to evolve, and what the future of electric vehicles may be in the context of the energy transition. It was a close and dynamic exchange that allowed for a deeper exploration of the practical implications of the study and the sustainability challenges facing Spain.
